And the first week of Verdant Dental draws to a close!
We had the usual Friday afternoon – where emergency dental appointments were being made to be seen to before the weekend (we always try to see emergencies same day where possible). We had a lovely gentleman with a broken filling that needed replacement, while Dr Tina So was helping a bloke get his teeth cleaned and whitened before a big weekend out.
Did you know, apparently there’s a capsule with Turmeric extract in it, that supposedly helps settle your stomach?
Nope, I didn’t know that either – but what I did know, is that his teeth had gone an un-natural shade of orange/brown as a result. Dental cleaning, followed by tooth whitening/bleaching will be the way forward. Coming in from his factory in Tullamarine, at least us dentists were close by and available!
Back to my patient – of course, I’d just put his tooth to sleep (softly and gently, of course) when all the lights went out!
It’s been a long time since we had a blackout, but of course, at the worst possible time (there’s no good time!). Anyway, after some quick thinking we were able to get our patients sorted out, and we’ll rebook them in for emergency treatment ASAP on Monday.
So, thanks yet again to Dr Joseph and Tanina Versace for entrusting us to carry on Versace Dental, to our amazing staff who soldier on through darkness and blackouts to get things done, and of course to our wonderful patients. I was in everyday this week, and of course many of our patients are a little sad to hear Dr Versace was winding down his days. However, everyone was glad to hear that Dr Christina Romanella, Mr Jeremy Kearns and myself were staying – and the fortunate few who got to experience Dr Alpa Lodhiya’s gentle touch and caring chairside manner tell me that she’s a great addition to our dental practice in Niddrie!
