Stress Free and Relaxing dentist for nervous anxious patients on Keilor Road!

Anxious Patients and “Dental Chickens” welcome!

When I was a kid, I didn’t like going to the dentist, just like everyone else. I’d literally hide under my bed (Mum knew where to find me!) as I didn’t know whether to expect good or bad news at the dentist!

We do get a lot of nervous, anxious patients at Verdant Dental. There used to be good reason to be afraid – dentistry done decades ago is nothing like today. We’re really cheerful and fun loving people, and you’ll always hear us laughing and joking at the reception desk! Sometimes you might be afraid of “bad news” – and one thing I told a lovely lady today was that it’s far worse to be living in uncertainty!

For example, many years ago when I was working in Sunbury a lady came in crying, and the first thing she said was that she saw something unusual stuck on her gums, and she was afraid it was cancer – because the Big C had claimed her mum not too long before. All it took was a lot of kindness and understanding, with the amazing help of Cherie (who now works here at Verdant Dental!) and after a little checking and investigating it turned out to be an ulcer. Yep – it was a pretty uncomfortable one caused by a loose-fitting denture, but certainly a million miles less serious than cancer.

Then again, you just might have had a bad experience at the dentist years ago. We’re great at understanding why your particular dental phobia exists, and ways to manage and help you get the strength you need to beat it. Always hated being talked “at”, rather than having a conversation with your dentist? We love explaining things in really simple terms so that we’re all on the same page. Plus with things like dental photography and intraoral cameras (imagine a tiny selfie of your tooth!) we can show and point out things that you’d never see yourself.

Come on… isn’t it time you found the best dentists in Melbourne to trust with your care? You’ve found us – so give us a call on 93793736 or email smile@elationdental.com.au and be relieved that you don’t have to be scared anymore!

Tim

Tim is a slightly strange (in a good way) person who would rather spend all day under a blanket playing Playstation with his dog Hannah. Except there’s also this “day job” thing where he actually enjoys talking and relating to his patients at Verdant Dental – creating healthier, happier smiles with a wonderful team to make the days fly by!
